Dear Fathimah,
Thanks for mysteriously not answering my phone calls for a few days in a row. I've started wondering if your house was actually being robbed by a bunch of gas-masked burglars...oh, never mind.
I mean, thanks for the old-fashioned letter I received about two weeks after I called. You replied real fast. So did you visit your 95-years-old grandma? As I remember, she's the one who lives on the Amazon riverbank, am I right? Such an adventurous grandma. I'm glad to hear that you had a real good time with those piranhas there. I had a hunch that you'd be missing my docile goldfish by then.
Anyways, I'm definitely writing this reply letter now because there's nothing I could do to stop mom from going bungee-jumping, which means I would be home alone for a while. And of course, your letter gave me a reason not to use my newly acquired BlackBerry instead.
I had a real good time, too, here in Bali. I went to every existing beach on this island. The weather was perfect everyday lately, so I went parasailing, surfing and snorkeling. I definitely had fun at the beaches. A dog even went through the trouble of chasing me along the shoreline for about an hour straight.
I also went to several clubs near Kuta beach. I met these two awesome Australians, Saskia and Goldie, who was really fun to talk to. They're brilliant! Epic! Especially since they paid for my dinner (I ate in a real expensive club, for one thing) after only knowing me for about an hour. Those guys are awesome!
I know I still have much to tell you about, but if I don't save some stories for when we meet again, I'm sure I'm going to contribute largely to the global warming by wasting up to several kilograms' worth of paper, so I'd better stop ranting now.
I hope you continue having a good time there (maybe by dodging some Amazoness Archers' arrows aimed straight at your head?) before we meet again at school next week. I'm sure I'd have loads of things to say. That's it, pal. So long and goodnight.
